插花 Chahua is the 3000-year-old Chinese art of arranging flowers and plants. The practice uses carefully selected flora and greenery to convey a specific feeling or emotion to an observer - just as a painting or sculpture might.

Growing Tkaronto Floristry will provide hands-on instruction using the best of seasonally available flowers and responsibly foraged greens. Da Baohaus Studios will provide handmade ceramic vessels and an intimate home studio environment.

You will learn the rules and techniques for composing shapes in line. The workshop is designed to familiarize you with various kinds of plants to understand their characteristics, and to learn the basic rules and techniques for composing shapes.

You'll take home the floral materials at the end of the lesson to make the arrangement again at home along with the passion to make many more delicate creations! Flower frogs and vessels can be purchased at the end of each session.
